This is a wonderful article, as it points out the depth and breadth of how we can orient around sustainability. The profiles of small business exemplars brings it to life! One definition we use for sustainability and the triple bottom line in our leadership work comes from Brian Hall’s understanding of values. Hall (2006) says, “to develop and initiate a new institution or transform the organization one works in, in order to prosper in the world of business, enhance the quality of life and create meaningful work for the employees and to develop an institution that benefits society.” In this context, sustainability is way more than being green! Thank you for these insights!
]]>Here is how I do little things throughout my day:
Use less paper
Reuse the back of a printed page that I no longer need
Print two sided
Bike to work
Educate my clients for making sustainable choices for their projects
Use natural ventilation at the office as much as possible
Since there is no product I make, I can only make a difference with my behavior and teachings.
